Charlie Zhu is a product/platform operator focused on production GenAI systems, especially the launch readiness, eval, governance, and domain-owner experience required to make automation trustworthy.

Current focus

Production GenAI systems that hold up in real operations

Charlie’s current work centers on practical AI agent systems: golden evals, launch gates, model routing, deterministic enforcement, output critics, observability, governance, and human fallback. He is also developing OpenEvalGate as an early open-source framework concept for production GenAI evaluation and launch readiness.

Background

Product and platform experience

Charlie previously worked on enterprise cloud and data platform products, including AI agent support automation at TikTok Shop and cloud-native data orchestration products at Microsoft Azure Data Factory.

Charlie holds a master’s degree in Computer Science from Stanford University and a bachelor’s degree from Stanford University, where he studied Computer Science and Economics.
